What are you living for? What is your grand purpose? I happen to know your future depends on the everyday schemes you engage and a large chunk from these schemes comes from what you would like to think about yourself engaging in such future. If I wanted to live a principled life, it must stem from properly doing of the most mundane things, decision making to confronting challenges and compromising. Therefore, one must breathe, eat, drink, cloth, think, and act according to the most ideal standards of man. Philosophy is an abstraction, respected during the ancient times and now although the majority finds it difficult to appreciate what is deep, shall you veer away from it from a mere criteria of popularity? There is still hope I believe for this country to prosper and I'm going to spend the rest of my life acting on it. I shall push even harder with every failure. and so the maxim goes: Live life as if its your last!
I offer this spiritual and meaningful abstinence to myself and to the ill-deprived.
No Fastfood,Nothing artificial, No condiments, No chips and candies and chocolate. No anime. No TV series this year. Delay gratification. If I have money, I shall save it. I shall not spend it on food because aside from losing it too soon, I realized it doesn't make any difference if I engage in it or not. From what I used to think that its a physiologic necessity to appease the id, we can broaden the ego to include other alternatives (cheaper ones). How can engaging in this outlook change me? Discipline. Your future shall elaborate on the effects of the virtue.
